Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining telecommunications systems that support both data and voice communications. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the network infrastructure is efficient, secure, and able to meet the growing demands of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain telecommunications systems, including routers, switches, and network infrastructure.
  • Configure and manage network devices, ensuring high-performance and reliability.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot network issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimize the overall performance of telecom systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess project requirements and deliver tailored networking solutions.
  • Monitor network performance and implement improvements or upgrades as necessary.
  • Ensure network security through the use of firewalls, VPNs, encryption, and other security protocols.
  • Provide technical support to clients and internal teams on telecommunications and networking issues.
  • Conduct site surveys and prepare reports on network configurations, capacity, and performance.
  • Stay current with new telecommunications technologies and industry standards to enhance the organization’s service offerings.
  • Assist in network capacity planning and disaster recovery planning.
  • Document all network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and system upgrades.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Telecommunications Network Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications systems, network protocols, and hardware.
  • Proficiency in network configuration and troubleshooting tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of LAN, WAN, and wireless technologies.
  • Familiarity with VoIP and IP telephony systems.
  • Experience with network security technologies and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and SD-WAN technologies.
  • Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of 5G technologies and telecom cloud services.
