We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Web Development Intern to help us enhance our online presence and accessibility.
Role Overview:
As a Web Development Intern, you’ll collaborate with our communications and tech teams to maintain and improve our website. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a mission-driven environment while building real-world development skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, coding, and updating pages on AcmeOutreach.org
- Improve site functionality, accessibility, and user experience
- Support integration of new features such as event calendars, donation forms, or volunteer sign-ups
- Help troubleshoot bugs and ensure cross-browser compatibility
- Optimize site performance and mobile responsiveness
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and program leads to ensure alignment with organizational goals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with WordPress or other CMS platforms is a plus
- Experience with Git, responsive design, or web accessibility standards is a bonus
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Passion for nonprofit work and social impact
